Description If one were to close your eyes and imagine Hanuman this is the face you would see.  Pure love emanates from him.  His eyes have burst with compassion.  His pink face is in the shape of a heart with his eyebrows framing his face.  He is wearing a golden crown with emeralds and rubies painted into it.  He has the symbol of Lord Vishnu painted on his forehead.  Hanuman is standing with one hand holding a club and the other in the abhaya mudra.  His body was left unpainted which further highlights his handsome face.

About Makrana White Marble:  Makrana marble is regarded as being the oldest marble in age and the finest quality.  Makrana marble is named after a small town in Rajasthan, India where it is mined.  Artists have always sought out makrana marble because of its pure white color and its hardness.  Makrana marble was made famous for its use as the principle stone in the building of the Taj Mahal.  In sculpture the marble is often hand painted in vibrant colors giving a beautiful contrast to the pure white of the marble.

About Hanuman Hanuman is one of the most important personalities in the epic, the Ramayana. He is a vanara who aided Lord Rama, an avatar of Vishnu, in rescuing His Consort, Sita, from the Demon king, Ravana. Vanaras are ape-like humanoids, who were created by Brahma and other gods to help Rama in battle against Ravana.

Hanuman is the son of Vayu, the Hindu God of Wind, and is looked upon by Hindus as the ultimate hero and great devotee of Lord Rama of the Ramayana. He represents the figure of the ideal being, as he is humble yet brave. His physical prowess, mental discipline and spiritual purity have made him extremely popular all over India.

He is a provider of courage, hope, knowledge, intellect and devotion. He is pictured as a robust monkey holding a mace or gada, which is a sign of bravery, and having a picture of Lord Rama tattooed on his chest, which is a sign of his devotion to Lord Rama.

He is also called Mahaveera (the great hero) or Pavan-suta (son of air) or Bajarangbali.  In Tamil Nadu he is known as Anjaneya.
