Lotus Sculpture adds to the beauty of life! - 1.22.2015
Lotus Sculpture has the most beautiful statues in the world. There is definitely a chemistry between the statues, the team at Lotus Sculpture and the purchaser. Receiving our Umbrella Ganesh was memorable. Our dream of having this statue was fulfilled. Kyle offered such a great price for it. A truly beautiful piece by the amazingly talented artists of India, who sculpted him. It's a labor of love.
I am convinced that Kyle Tortora was divinely chosen to spread the love that each statue brings to its owners.
We named Umbrella Ganesh Mr. G. after our station weatherman. Lord Ganesh will keep an eye on the weather for all of us!
Thanks Lotus Sculpture! You add to the beauty of life!

My daughter loved her Buddha, best Christmas gift! - 12.26.2014
I bought the garden Buddha for my daughter for Christmas. It is a beautiful sculpture. The entire process of ordering from the web site, which was a great web site, and receiving the sculptures in plenty of time for Christmas morning was perfect. It was truly a great gift to give her and she absolutely loved it. Forget the newest technology, a serene and beautiful sculpture is a wonderful way to gift someone you love.

Tmeless sculptures - 12.4.2014
I had ordered the andal and I was worried how the details would be as to the features. I absolutely loved it and it has the ancient looks of Indian sculptures and the features were sharp. The item arrived in couple of days and I was thrilled. I collect antiques and Indian artifacts and I am sure I will be a frequent customer at your store.
I think I have found my "go to " shop for Indian relics.
Thank you so much
Avalokiteshvara is seated in the padmasana or lotus position. This is the leg position of deep meditation. He has 4 hands of which hold a conch shell, lotus flower and prayer malas. He has a beautiful crown and ornate, circular earrings. The deep, copper color of the body of the statue complements the gold and greens patina in the ornaments of the statue. His face is a polished gold color that really highlights his handsome face. In the Buddhist pantheon, Bodhisattva Avalokiteshvara is revered as the personification of compassion. Avalokiteshvara may be the most popular of all Buddhist deities, with the exception of Lord Buddha himself -- he is beloved throughout the Buddhist world. The Dalai Lamas and Karmapas are believed to be emanations of Avalokiteshvara. The Tibetan name for Avalokiteshvara is Chenrzig.
"If we could see the miracle of a single flower clearly, our whole life would change." ~ Buddha~
The Buddha, whose original name was Siddhartha Gautama, was the founder of Buddhism, the religion and the philosophical system that produced a great culture throughout much of southern and eastern Asia. Buddha, meaning "awakened one" or "enlightened one" is a title not a name. In Hindu Dogma, the Buddha is viewed as being the 9th avatar of the Hindu god Vishnu. The Buddha was a son of the rulers Sakyas. He was married at the age of 16 and lived in luxury and comfort sheltered from the harsh realities of life. When he was 29 he realized that men are subject to old age, sickness and death. He became aware of the suffering inherent in existence. He resolved to give up princely life and become a wandering ascetic (samana) in search for the Truth. With the two of samanas he attained mystical states of elevated consciousness but he failed to find the Truth. He continued his search and was joined by five ascetics in a grove near Uruvela, where he practiced sever austerities and self-mortification for six years. When he fainted away in weakness, he abandoned ascetic practices to seek his own path to Enlightenment. Discarding the teachings of his contemporaries, through meditation he achieved Enlightenment, or ultimate understanding. There after the Buddha instructed his followers in the dharma (truth) and the "Middle Way" a path between worldly life and extremes of self-denial. The essence of the Buddha's early preaching was said to be the four Noble truths: 1) life is fundamentally disappointment and suffering. 2) suffering is a result of one's desires for pleasure, power, and continued existence; 3) to stop disappointment and suffering on must stop desiring; and 4) the way to stop desiring and thus suffering is the Noble eight fold path - right views, right intention, right speech, right action, right livelihood, right effort, right awareness and right concentration. The realization of the truth of anatman (no eternal self) was taught as essential for the indescribable state of release called nirvana.
Brass statues from India do not need much maintenance. The best way to maintain the statue is to simply dust the piece periodically to keep any dirt from accumulating. They can be used for both indoor and outdoor use.
"You can use soap, warm water and a cotton cloth to periodically go over the statue to remove any dust or dirt buildup."
You can use soap, warm water and a cotton cloth to periodically go over the statue to remove any dust or dirt buildup. If you are really interested in making the statue shine you can use some natural oil, like coconut oil or olive oil, and a cotton rag to wipe down the metal portions of the piece. You can use a toothbrush as well to get into the small crevices of the statue like the hands and hair.
Indian brass's durability makes it perfect for cold winters and hot summers of any climate. The metal can stand up to the harshest conditions of heat and bitter cold. We suggest you bathe the sculpture every couple of months so that dirt does not collect on the sculpture and then use a cotton cloth with some natural oil to give the statue a shine.
