    I order two statues (one of Lord Ganesha and an other of Lord Buddah). Unfortunatly, the Lord Ganesah's one had been sold before my order. But, Kyle proposed me many other solution to help me getting what I wanted. So I would like to thank him for everthing he did for me. I received both of them yesterday.     Buddha statues - 5.2.2013

    I have purchased six Buddhas from Lotus Sculpture sofar and am very pleased with all of them. Because of my interest in Buddhism and in travel to Asian countries, I pick each Buddha as representative of specific nations and peoples. They remind me of the richness and variety of all these people and their great contribution to the human race. Thus, I have Buddhas from India, Japan, Cambodia, Thailand, Nepal, China, and Hawaii. I have yet to purchase those from Viet Nam and Laos, countries I have yet to visit. As a professor of theology and spirituality and a writer of twelve books thusfar, my latest on Christian-Buddhist dialogue, I cannot recommend more highly the beauty of Lotus Sculpture works.     Buddha - 4.26.2013

    We LOVE our Buddha. He arrived safely and quickly. I called to talk with Kyle before I ordered, because I wanted to make sure the statue was exactly right - and it is! The photo was very exact . We are building a meditation room and this Buddha will be placed on the alter table. We will send photo when we are complete with our project. again , we are very happy with our purchase and the customer service with Lotus Sculpture.     Description

    The sculpture is enormous!  The shear mass of the stone takes your breath away when standing next to it.  The Moai sculpture was designed after the Moai replica in the Museum of Natural History in New York City.   The Moai was commissioned as the center piece for a hotel development in Miami, Florida. 

    The history of Easter Island is rich and controversial.  Its inhabitants have endured famines, epidemics, civil war, slave raids and colonialism, and near deforestation; their population has declined precipitously more than once. They have left a cultural legacy that has brought them fame disproportionate to their population.

    The large stone statues, or Moai, for which Easter Island is world-famous, were carved from 1,100-1,680 CE. A total of 887 monolithic stone statues have been inventoried on the island and in museum collections so far.  Although often identified as "Easter Island heads", the statues are actually complete torsos, the figures kneeling on bent knees with their hands over their stomachs. Some upright Moai have become buried up to their necks by shifting soils.

    This Moai head sculpture has been sold. However, you can custom order another. The price is $39000. A down payment of $13000 is required to start the project.     About Pink Granite:      Pink granite is seldom used in sculpture in south India.  Lotus Sculpture has acquired pink granite stone solely for a limited number of Moai statues.  The Moai's smooth surfaces really show off the beauty of the stone.  Like Indian black granite it is possible to see 4-5 different colors on a single piece depending on the degree of polish or roughness of the stone.  The stone is extremely hard and durable and can be left outside in extreme heat and extreme cold for years without care.

The client then pays for shipping from Oceanside, CA or the closest port to the final destination. Shipping is calculated after the purchase. If you place your order online shipping will be $0.
