The stone's color deepens and intensifies when wet, transforming the surface into a richer, more vivid version of itself and making it a particularly dynamic garden centerpiece in rain or beside water features.

Ganesha is the Hindu deity of beginnings, wisdom, and the removal of obstacles, and his trunk is the defining gesture of his form, directing energy, signaling auspiciousness, and marking the direction of his focus. This sculpture captures that gesture in its most essential state, a single spiraling composition where head, trunk, belly, and base wind into one another in a continuous inward curve, the whole figure leaning right as though turning toward something just out of view. There is a sense of motion in this piece that most seated sculptures avoid, a quality that comes from the asymmetry of the lean and the tight spiral of the trunk against the belly.

This sculpture is carved from Sadarahalli granite from Tamil Nadu, India, a cool blue-grey stone with a fine salt-and-pepper grain scattered with burgundy and pink mineral inclusions that add warmth to the otherwise cool surface. The stone shows a natural two-tone quality across this piece: the trunk and upper head sections are darker and more polished, with a higher reflective finish that emphasizes the pink and burgundy flecks, while the large round belly and lower base retain a coarser matte texture in a lighter grey tone. The head rises as a tall pointed form leaning sharply to the right, its polished surface catching light along its leading edge. The trunk drops from the face in a deep sweeping curve and spirals inward to the left, its tip ending in a small rounded nub pressed against the belly. The belly is a large smooth sphere at the center of the composition, and the base wraps around in a broad curving form that echoes the spiral of the trunk above. A carved groove runs along the base, reinforcing the sense of layered wrapping forms.

Sadarahalli granite is dense and highly durable outdoors, holding its surface and polish without degradation in rain, frost, or direct sun. At 24 inches tall this sculpture works as a garden focal point, a poolside or water feature piece, a covered courtyard sculpture, or indoors on a pedestal where its spiraling form and two-tone stone can be appreciated from multiple angles.

This sculpture is in our Oceanside, California gallery and ready for immediate packing & shipping. Packing takes anywhere from 1-4 business days. Shipping takes anywhere from 1-6 business days. The shipping price is automatically calculated from Oceanside, California to the destination in the online checkout. Or you can get a shipping quote by clicking the Calculate Shipping link beneath the Add to Cart button. Shipping will be calculated based on the weight of the sculpture and the distance to the destination from our Oceanside, California showroom.
The delivery charges include insurance, a residential lift gate delivery to your home or business. The freight company will call you to schedule a delivery day and time frame to make the delivery. Someone must be present to receive the statue. Depending on where you are located we will use either R&L Carriers, UPS Freight, Estes, DHX or Roadrunner Transport.
The freight company will use a lift gate to bring the sculpture to the ground and then use a pallet jack to move it anywhere on the same level. They will move it anywhere in your driveway or in your garage. They will not take it to your backyard or in the elevator to your apartment or up or down any steps. They will not be unpacking the statue and taking the crate away. Think of them as you would UPS or Fedex. They only deliver the statue. If you require a little extra service, (within reason) a tip to a delivery man usually works wonders!
For placing the statue our customers have either placed the statue themselves with help of a friend and a tool like a hand truck or a dolly. Or by contacting their landscaper who is used to moving large and heavy objects like rocks and trees into place. For much larger and heavier sculptures sometimes the customer needs a piece of heavy equipment for placing the statue like a crane or forklift. This sculpture is in our Oceanside, California showroom and ready for immediate packing & shipping. This piece is too heavy to ship via UPS and will be shipped using an international freight service. Packing takes anywhere from 1-4 days depending on the statue. We can ship the statue using either sea or air freight to either the your home or the closest port.

Shipping will be calculated based on the weight of the sculpture and the distance from Oceanside, California to determine the shipping price.
