This small copper statue depicts the goddess Lakshmi, revered as the goddess of wealth, fortune, and prosperity in Hinduism. She is seated gracefully on a blooming lotus, a symbol of purity, beauty, and spiritual awakening. Lakshmi is shown with two of her hands raised in abaya and varada mudras, granting blessings of protection and boons to her devotees. In her other two hands, she holds lotus buds, signifying purity and growth. Resting in her lap beneath her right arm is a vessel from which coins flow abundantly, symbolizing the endless blessings of wealth and abundance she bestows. Her detailed crown and ornaments emphasize her divine splendor, while the lotus base grounds her image in sacred symbolism.

Hand-crafted in copper, the statue's rich detailing highlights Lakshmi's crown, jewelry, and lotus seat, emphasizing her association with divine beauty and spiritual prosperity. As the eternal consort of Vishnu, Lakshmi is revered as the embodiment of auspiciousness and grace, making her image an essential presence in temples and homes.

This sculpture is not just a piece of devotional art but also a reminder of the goddess's power to remove poverty and grant both material and spiritual wealth. Placing Lakshmi in the home altar, living space, or office invites prosperity, balance, and the energy of divine blessings.

"The statue chooses you.

You know when you find the right piece to bring into your home and into your heart."

"Beautiful goddess seated on a chariot, delighted by songs on lustful elephants, bedecked with lotuses, pearls and gems, lustrous as fire, radiant as gold, resplendent as the sun, calm as the moon, mistress of cows and horses - take away poverty and misfortune bring joy, riches, harvest and children."

Draped in red saree, bedecked with gold ornaments, seated on a lotus, pot in hand, flanked by white elephants, the image of Lakshmi adorns most Hindu homes and business establishments.

Lakshmi is the goddess of wealth, fortune, power, luxury, beauty, fertility, and auspiciousness.  She holds the promise of material fulfillment and contentment.  She is described as restless, whimsical yet maternal, with her arms raised to bless and to grant her blessings.

Shri is the sacred name of Lakshmi.  Shri is written atop most documents and spoken before addressing a god, teacher holy man or any revered individual.  The word evokes grace, affluence abundance, auspiciousness and authority.  When the word is spoken or written an aura of holiness is established.  Whatever follows is imbued with divine blessing.  Just as the word "Om" is associated with the mystical side of life, Shri is associated with the material side of existence.

Lakshmi represents the beautiful and bountiful aspect of nature.  As Bhoodevi, the earth-goddess, she nurtures life; as Shreedevi, the goddess of fortune, she bestows power, pleasure and prosperity on those who deserve her grace.  To realize her, one must respect the laws of life and appreciate the wonders of existence.

Copper statues from Nepali do not need much maintenance. The best way to maintain the statue is to simply dust the piece periodically to keep any dirt from accumulating. They are meant solely for indoor use.

If you would like the piece to shine use a cotton cloth with some coconut oil or other natural oil to wipe down the copper statue. Pay special attention to not go over any painted area of the sculpture.

If you are really interested in making the statue shine you can use some natural oil, like coconut oil or olive oil, and a cotton rag to wipe down the metal portions of the piece. You can use a toothbrush as well to get into the small crevices of the statue. Please pay special attention to not use any oil on any painted surface of the sculpture, such as the face. This will damage the paint and possibly recolor the painted area. Simply use a cotton cloth to dust the face if the face requires attention. Make sure the surface that touches the face does not have any oils present on it. If there are natural stones on the sculpture use caution while going over the stones as they can become dislodged while handling the sculpture.
