Kwan Yin, also known as Avalokiteshvara may be the most popular of all Buddhist deities and is revered as the Bodhisattva of compassion
He sits on an octagonal, 2 tiered blooming lotus base in the padmasana or the full lotus seated position
He has a stunning display of 18 arms holding a variety of weapons and symbols including a double dorje, sling shot, an axe, a large flower that is cast separately and can be removed from the sculpture, a mala necklace, sword, lotus bulb, pot, an arrow, chakra, conch shell, stick and feather
One of his right hands is held up in the abhaya mudra granting divine protection with two hands clasp in front of his chest in the anjali mudra or namaste hand position and two hands in his lap in the dhyana mudra of meditation

Avalokiteshvara is seated in padmasana or the full lotus position with the soles of her feet facing the sky on a blooming lotus base. He has 18 arms that hold a variety of weapons and symbols inlcuding one large flower that is cast separately and can be removed from the sculpture. He sits in front of a beautiful arch that frames the sculpture perfectly.

Bronze statues from China do not need much maintenance. They are durable and strong! Most statues have black felt on the bottom of them to protect the surface they sit on. The best way to maintain the statue is to simply dust the piece periodically to keep any dirt from accumulating. These statues are mostly small and meant for indoor use.

You can use a cotton cloth to periodically go over the statue to remove any dust or dirt buildup.

You can use a toothbrush as well to get into the small crevices of the statue like the hands and hair.
