This beautiful antique Buddha statue is in the bhumisparsha mudra or earth touching gesture with his right hand extended towards the ground with his left hand in his lap in the dhyana mudra of meditation
The Buddha is seated in a full lotus or padmasana position with both feet facing the sky
He has a slight smile curled on the corner of his lips

The Buddha is seated in the full lotus seated position or padmasana with the soles of both feet facing upwards. His right hand is extended towards the ground in the 'earth touching' gesture or 'earth witness' also known as bhumisparsha mudra. It symbolizes the precise moment when the awakening Buddha, Shakyamuni, vanquished the army of Mara beneath the bodhi tree and summoned the goddess of the earth, Sthavara, to bear witness to his countless acts of sacrifice.The eyes are down cast as if in meditation. The Buddha has a wealth of curls on his head which look like snail shells. His earlobes are stretched.

You can use a toothbrush as well to get into the small crevices of the statue like the hands and hair.

Thai brass's durability makes it perfect for cold winters and hot summers of any climate. The metal can stand up to the harshest conditions of heat and bitter cold. We suggest you bathe the sculpture every couple of months so that dirt does not collect on the sculpture and then use a cotton cloth with some natural oil to give the statue a shine.
