Statue Details
Materials: Nepali Copper hand made in Patan, Nepal
Total Height Including Base: 12 inches or 30 cms

- The Buddha is seated on a blooming lotus base which is raised from the ground on three legs
- His hands are resting in his lap with the right hand over the left in the dhyana mudra of meditation while holding a small alms bowl
- There is a colorfully painted rainbow halo or chakra behind the head of Lord Buddha which contrasts beautifully with his 18K gold painted face
- Buddha is seated in the full lotus or padmasana position with both legs tucked beneath him
- Lord Buddha is hand made by the artists of Nepal and completely one of a kind, you will recieve this exact statue with your order
Lord Buddha is seated on a single lotus base also known as padmasana. He is in dhyana mudra, the gesture of meditation or concentration. In this gesture, the right hand always rests over the left hand. This symbolizes that the perfections of method (right hand) are supported by the perfection of wisdom (left hand).
The face of the Buddha is painted with 24k gold mixture. The gold is crushed into a powder and then made into a paste. The gold paste is mixed with an organic paint mixture.
This sculpture is a one of a kind statue, handcrafted by the very talented artists of the beautiful Himalayan Kingdom of Nepal.

Copper statues from Nepali do not need much maintenance. The best way to maintain the statue is to simply dust the piece periodically to keep any dirt from accumulating. They are meant solely for indoor use.
If you would like the piece to shine use a cotton cloth with some coconut oil or other natural oil to wipe down the copper statue. Pay special attention to not go over any painted area of the sculpture.
If you are really interested in making the statue shine you can use some natural oil, like coconut oil or olive oil, and a cotton rag to wipe down the metal portions of the piece. You can use a toothbrush as well to get into the small crevices of the statue. Please pay special attention to not use any oil on any painted surface of the sculpture, such as the face. This will damage the paint and possibly recolor the painted area. Simply use a cotton cloth to dust the face if the face requires attention. Make sure the surface that touches the face does not have any oils present on it. If there are natural stones on the sculpture use caution while going over the stones as they can become dislodged while handling the sculpture.
