Introducing our breathtaking masterpiece copper statue of Vajradhara, the supreme primordial Buddha, exquisitely captured in full lotus pose upon a beautifully crafted blooming lotus base. This statue represents not just the pinnacle of spiritual symbolism in Buddhist tradition but also the zenith of artistic craftsmanship.

Vajradhara, known for his profound significance in Buddhist teachings, is depicted seated with legs locked, the soles of his feet visible, embodying the stability and groundedness of his enlightened state. Adorned with the Bodhisattva crown and the attire befitting an Indian prince, this statue beautifully merges the divine and the regal, symbolizing Vajradhara's all-encompassing presence.

The urna and ushnisha, traditional marks of a Buddha, grace his presence, adding layers of depth and authenticity to this representation. His arms, crossed in the vajra-hum-kdra mudra, hold the vajra and ghanta, each a profound symbol in Buddhist iconography. The vajra, held in the right hand, represents the means and compassion, connecting the bearer to the Buddhas, while the ghanta in the left hand symbolizes wisdom, emptiness, and the entire mandala of the Yidam.

The craftsmanship of this statue is unparalleled, with every detail meticulously hand-painted over six months, reflecting the artist's dedication and reverence for the subject. Vajradhara's form is further embellished with an array of semi-precious stones, including sapphire, coral, turquoise, and ruby, each adding a vibrant burst of color and significance to the piece.

This masterpiece is more than a statue; it is a vessel of deep spiritual energy and a testament to the skills of its creator. Ideal for a place of reverence, meditation, or any space dedicated to spiritual or artistic appreciation, this copper statue of Vajradhara brings with it a sense of peace, contemplation, and a connection to the divine mysteries that Vajradhara embodies.

 ~ Buddha~
The Buddha, whose original name was Siddhartha Gautama, was the founder of Buddhism, the religion and the philosophical system that produced a great culture throughout much of southern and eastern Asia.  Buddha, meaning "awakened one" or "enlightened one" is a title not a name.  In Hindu Dogma, the Buddha is viewed as being the 9th avatar of the Hindu god Vishnu.
The Buddha was a son of the rulers Sakyas.  He was married at the age of 16 and lived in luxury and comfort sheltered from the harsh realities of life.  When he was 29 he realized that men are subject to old age, sickness and death.  He became aware of the suffering inherent in existence.  He resolved to give up princely life and become a wandering ascetic (samana) in search for the Truth.
With the two of samanas he attained mystical states of elevated consciousness but he failed to find the Truth.  He continued his search and was joined by five ascetics in a grove near Uruvela, where he practiced sever austerities and self-mortification for six years.  When he fainted away in weakness, he abandoned ascetic practices to seek his own path to Enlightenment.  Discarding the teachings of his contemporaries, through meditation he achieved Enlightenment, or ultimate understanding.  There after the Buddha instructed his followers in the dharma (truth) and the "Middle Way" a path between worldly life and extremes of self-denial.
The essence of the Buddha's early preaching was said to be the four Noble truths: 1) life is fundamentally disappointment and suffering.  2) suffering is a result of one's desires for pleasure, power, and continued existence; 3) to stop disappointment and suffering on must stop desiring; and 4) the way to stop desiring and thus suffering is the Noble eight fold path - right views, right intention, right speech, right action, right livelihood, right effort, right awareness and right concentration.  The realization of the truth of anatman (no eternal self) was taught as essential for the indescribable state of release called nirvana.

Copper statues from Nepali do not need much maintenance. The best way to maintain the statue is to simply dust the piece periodically to keep any dirt from accumulating. They are meant solely for indoor use.

If you would like the piece to shine use a cotton cloth with some coconut oil or other natural oil to wipe down the copper statue. Pay special attention to not go over any painted area of the sculpture.

If you are really interested in making the statue shine you can use some natural oil, like coconut oil or olive oil, and a cotton rag to wipe down the metal portions of the piece. You can use a toothbrush as well to get into the small crevices of the statue. Please pay special attention to not use any oil on any painted surface of the sculpture, such as the face. This will damage the paint and possibly recolor the painted area. Simply use a cotton cloth to dust the face if the face requires attention. Make sure the surface that touches the face does not have any oils present on it. If there are natural stones on the sculpture use caution while going over the stones as they can become dislodged while handling the sculpture.
