Presenting a unique work of art that narrates the timeless epic of love and devotion our three-dimensional wooden wall panel featuring Rama and Sita. Crafted from a light-toned wood, this panel is more than just a decorative piece; it's a story brought to life.
In the heart of the panel, Rama stands strong and regal, his bow in hand signifying his warrior strength and valor. By his side, Sita, radiant and ethereal, expresses a silent narrative through her distinctive mudras. Their deep gaze into each other's eyes, paired with their ornate clothing and jewelry, brings forth an aura of divine love and royal grandeur.
Yet, it's not just the central figures that captivate. Alongside them, a peaceful deer stands, symbolizing the purity and tranquility of their bond. The background is a dense canopy bursting with detailed flowers and exotic plants that seamlessly blend with the main narrative, offering a window into the verdant forests of their tales.
Introducing an exquisite piece that transcends mere art - our three-dimensional wooden wall panel depicting the eternal love story of Krishna and Radha. Carved from light-colored wood, this masterpiece captures the divine romance in a scene that feels as though it's alive.
At the heart of the panel, Krishna enchants with melodies from his flute, his notes of love beckoning Radha closer. She, completely captivated, stands beside him, her hand delicately resting on his arm, embodying pure devotion. But this central scene is just the beginning.
What truly sets this piece apart is the vivid portrayal of nature that engulfs these lovers. A dense, flourishing canopy, filled with intricate birds, blossoms, and exotic plants, wraps around Krishna and Radha. Every single detail, from the fluttering wings of the birds to the petals of the flowers, has been masterfully sculpted, making it a testament to the artisan's unmatched skill.
Though primarily designed as a wall adornment, the panel's sturdy craftsmanship ensures it can also stand independently, offering versatility in display. Whether you're seeking to elevate your home decor or searching for a piece that resonates with spiritual depth, this Krishna and Radha panel is a timeless addition.

Crocodile Wood or Satin Wood; Zanthoxylum rhetsa: The Indonesian name, panggal buaya, literally translates to crocodile teeth, referring to the knobby, tooth- shaped protrusions which cover the trunk. Native to lowlands from India to the Philippines, crocodile wood is usually white in color, some pieces have narrow, dark stripes. The grain is straight and easy to carve and the wood is of medium hardness. Older trees produce darker wood than younger ones and the higher up in the tree, the lighter the color. Crocodile wood is often called the Ivory of Woods because of its similar color and smooth finish.

One of the most widely revered and most popular of all Indian divinities, is Krishna worshipped as the eighth incarnation (avatar) of Vishnu. Krishna became the focus of a large number of devotional cults, which over the centuries have produced a wealth of religious poetry, music, painting and sculpture.

The child Krishna was adored for his mischievous pranks; he also performed many miracles and slew demons. As a youth, the cowherd Krishna became renown as a lover, the sound of his flute prompting gopis (wives and daughters of the cowherds) to leave their homes to dance ecstatically with him in the forests. His favorite among them was the beautiful Radha. Krishna's youthful dalliances with the gopis are interpreted as symbolic of the loving interplay between God and the human soul. Krishna affirms life in his pranks, music and lovemaking.

The rich variety of legends associated with Krishna's life led to an abundance of representation in painting and sculpture. The most reknown story surrounding Krishna is the Bahgavad Gita or Gita which is considered one of the most importatnt Hindu texts. The Gita is the conversation between Krishna and Arjuna. Krishna is explaining to Arjuna that it is Arjuna's moral obligation to fight in a war that will put him against some members of his family. Krishna like Vishnu is an upholder of the moral order of the universe.

The use of a wood polish will keep the wood looking fresh and the colors vibrant.

Wood statues are easy to take care of as they just need some annual upkeep to keep them looking as they did when they were first carved. All the wood used by Lotus Sculpure's artists is dried out for months. Moisture causes cracks in the sculpture as the wood contracts and expands in different temperatures. Our wood has little to no moisture in it assuring that the sculpture is not going to crack in its journey into different climates. Here are some simple tips to keep your statue in good condition:

  • Dust the statue as needed to prevent dirt build up
  • To make the statue shine use a natural wood cleaner and a cotton cloth to buff the sculpture

We prefer Old English to polish and buff our statues. The use of a wood polish like Old English will keep the wood looking fresh and keep the colors looking vibrant. For natural wood and painted wooden statues we recommend Old English for lighter woods. For darker wood statues we recommend Old English for darker woods. Lotus Sculpture cleans and polishes each wooden statue prior to shipping them to the customer.

We recommend keeping wooden statues in an indoor environment. Wood statues can go outside however, they will wear more quickly and develop an antique appearance. If you would like to put a wood statue from Lotus Sculpture outside and keep the same appearance of the sculpture we would recommend first coating the statue with a couple of layers of sealant or polyurethane. We would then recommend placing the statue in a partially covered area. The more exposure to the elements the more the statue will wear over time. Please feel free to contact us directly if you have any questions regarding your wooden statue from Lotus Sculpture, (760) 994-4455 or [email protected].
